Behind The Moon is the final project of Isabella Bigus and Annika Brondke for their major in Theatre and Media studies. In Octobre 2018 they founded ABDC, the American and British Drama Club, at the University of Bayreuth. Eversince the club has been producing small theatre projects in English under their direction each semester. For this virtual exhibition and the theatre performance they chose to cooperate with ABDC to create this intermedial project including projects from both members of the group as well as external students.
Behind The Moon is loosely based on and influenced by the main themes depicted in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, shedding light on themes like …. objectification but also self determination of women, desire and the meaning of life. To keep this homepage and project alive, we would be very grateful if you decided to visit our lovely piggy bank on the table. It also helps to remunerate our wonderful art and web designers appropriately. And if you want to support the creative theatre arts scene in Bayreuth further, feel free to donate to Schaulust eV. who also supported this project - just click on their poster that is hanging on the wall.
